Newport Beach Family Portraits
Newport Beach Pier is one of those iconic Orange County spots for a family portrait. The old wooden pier is a quintessential California backdrop for your photos. The trick is finding a parking space. Learn more about us at Orange County Family Photographer
Why It's Great
The best thing about the Newport Beach Pier is the golden sun that sets behind the pier. There are also some great old brick buildings nearby that offer up a vintage or retro look. You can also walk to the bayside of the peninsula for harbor views and sailboats in your backgrounds. Newport Beach is always very busy in the Summer months or weekends in the winter when the weather is nice. Be sure to arrive early so you can avoid the stress of finding a parking space. About This Portrait Session
The Dubois family had recently moved to California from Texas and was still adjusting to California living. Toni & Bill had recently been engaged and wanted to mark the occasion with family portraits with all their children together. Newport Beach Pier was one of their favorite spots to spend time since moving to California, so we planned their family session around their stay at a beachfront Air BNB just steps from the Newport Beach Pier. After a quick call to discuss coordinating their outfits, the only thing they had to do was step outside their front door and meet me at the Silver Surfer Statue at the pier. Even though the DuBois had traded their cowboy boots for surfboards, their session was full of their southern hospitality, and eagerness to explore Orange County. We had so much fun photographing the new blended family and look forward to capturing more family milestones at their wedding next year.
